You too can practice some sport in Valtellina

If you are programming a holiday with the aim of discovering Valtellina, keeping in mind your interest in sports, this paragraph will open all the doors for you. Summer, winter, spring, autumn. All the seasons present themselves with their own glamour and in every season we can give vent to our desire for Sport.

In winter with downhill skiing, the snowboard, the telemarking, the cross country skiing, walks with ski shoes, the rides in motor-sleighs, ice-skating; in summer with walks along paths, trekking, the mountain-bike, climbing, paragliding, rafting, golf or skiing on the Stelvio glaciers. In spring and in autumn all the sports, both the summer and the winter ones.

Skiing in all its forms: the skiing district of Terziere Superiore has over 60 km of tracks, 24 ski lifts, tracks for Nordic skiing, itineraries for off track skiing; the slopes equipped with plants for programmed snowing are numerous too.

Excursions, trekking and many others: in harmony with the ever increasing request for an “open air” holiday, Media Valtellina, in summer, offers a wide range of opportunities of sports and recreation in contact with nature, becoming more and more a tourist destination for every season and not only the winter one.

In Valtellina one can practice an endless number of sports. A fact of particular importance: these activities are carried out in an environment which is ideal for man: clean air, contact with nature, tranquillity.

Some typically winter sports such as skiing or the cross country skiing can be practiced even in summer on the glaciers of Stelvio or Bernina, the latter linked to Tirano even by the Bernina Express train.
